What is Boudoir Photography exactly?

The short answer is: it’s sophisticated, sensual and intimate portraiture.

Boudoir photography is meant to exude sensuality and is usually intimate in nature. Hence, when you think boudoir, you think racy lingerie and seductive poses, but that’s not all boudoir photography is. It allows you to show your ownership over your sexuality along with so much more.

Anyone can do a boudoir shoot. If you are on a journey of self-discovery, in need of a confidence boost, or just want to show off your sexy self, a boudoir photo shoot can be exactly what you’ve been looking for. You don’t have to be a model or have modeling experience. I will walk you through every step of the way.

There is something extraordinarily empowering about stepping out of your everyday life and owning your sensuality. Gain new confidence by accepting your body!

Boudoir photography is not exclusively about sexuality.

In a world full of selfies, boudoir photography is about true sensuality. I want to help you accept your body! To help you see yourself in a new light. After a boudoir experience, you will feel differently right from the moment the shoot is over. Even before you see the final images. It is downright fun to throw caution to the wind and show off your inner sex goddess – it truly is empowering.

I endeavor to capture the sensuality and mystique that is boudoir, while maintaining your dignity, privacy and above all, your boundaries. Being naked is absolutely not synonymous with the word ‘Boudoir.’  I want you to feel as beautiful, sexy and unconquerable as possible! Women who feel sexy, will behave sexy. It’s absolutely true. Having said that, once you see your photos, if you think anything comes out looking ‘unsightly’, it can be Photoshopped, if necessary.

Speaking of Photoshop, every single woman is insecure about some part of their body. We are own worst critic! I will talk to you to find out what that area may be. I may not see something as a flaw in the same way you do, so it’s good to get this out in the open. We can work around these insecurities by strategically placing scarves, boas or angel wings. But yes, ultimately, I can edit almost anything in post. How much I do is up to you. Cellulite, stretch marks, scars, blemishes, freckles and the like can all removed, if you’d like.

For me, the most rewarding part of Boudoir Photography is watching my clients walk out the door more confident than when they walked in.
